Если в вашем автомобиле установлена SD-карта на 16 ГБ, замените ее на карту 32 ГБ

Are you worried about where to charge your electric vehicle when traveling long distances? Now the Navigation system adds charging stations as waypoints automatically. You can travel long distances without worry, even when the remaining battery charge is low.

Provides Frequently Visited Charging Stations Information
View the gas stations you use frequently by selecting: Navigation > POI Categories > Gas Stations > Near Current Position. The system will show a list of gas stations near the vehicle’s current location and will identify the ones visited several times recently.

Updating your Navigation Map ensures that the latest roads and points of interest are provided by your system.

Get the most out of your Audio system with the latest Navigation Map update and drive with confidence

• New features available after the Audio system/Map update vary by model and platform
• If you own an older model not listed on the eligible list, please visit the shipping website(https://www.mapnsoft.com/kia) to order your update by mail
• If you own a new model not listed above, no updates are currently available

This update provides Map data as well as software that may add new features or remove others, which may change the appearance of the user interface or the way you use it. After installation, it is not possible to revert to the previous software version

Certain new features, such as Connected Routing and Weather Data, require an active Kia Connect subscription to access

Please only use the official NaU (Navigation Updater) software found on this website to download your Audio system/Map update Downloading or copying software or updates from other sources can lead to update failures and cause critical issues with the Audio system

If your Audio system has a SD card, you need to use an SD card to update the software and Map
The SD card slot may be located in several different places: just below, above, or behind the Audio system display screen

1. During vehicle software installation, the vehicle must be running to keep the battery charged. Do not change to ACC mode, turn off the START button/ignition switch, or disconnect the SD card/USB flash drive during the upgrade procedure
2. Here is how to double-check if your vehicle is running

The START button «ON» indicator should be lit, or if you have an ignition switch, it should be in the “ON” position

Navigation Software Update

We are constantly improving our onboard navigation system to bring you the best possible experience. Whatever the age of your vehicle, you can carry out your navigation system’s update yourself free of charge.

Installing the latest navigation software update brings many benefits:

All your UK and European maps are up to date.

Your system is optimised to benefit from our latest interface, features and innovations.

If your vehicle benefits from our free seven-year Kia Connect services, you enjoy optimum compatibility with the Kia Connect app.

Ready to download your updates?

1. You may need a USB stick or SD Card with a capacity of up to 64GB depending on your model and navigation type. You may also need a computer with at least 54GB of free hard drive memory.

2. Refer to the FAQ below to find your Kia’s Model Year (MY). You will need this to select the correct update.

3. The process requires you to install our Kia Navigation Updater software on your computer. Therefore, you need to have full administrator access to your device.

Software updates straight to your Kia using over-the-air technology

If your Kia is Model Year 22 onwards, it can receive updates over the air using its in-built mobile data connection. This means you no longer need to use the Kia Navigation Updates site and can save time, having new software delivered to you as soon as it becomes available. All eligible vehicles get two over-the-air updates free of charge.

Follow the steps below to see if your Kia can be made over-the-air ready:

1. Check your Kia is Model Year 22 or over

You can determine your car’s model year by checking the 10th digit of its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). If this is the letter N or a subsequent letter of the alphabet, then your Kia is eligible for OTA updates.

2. Check your Kia has a recent software version

If your software version is more than six months old, you need to update it to the latest version using the Kia Navigation Updates website. You can find the software version date by going to ‘Settings’ from your Home screen. The software version ends with a date in YYYYMMDD format, which is the software’s date.

3. You’re ready!

If you have a vehicle from MY22 onwards with a software less than six months old, OTA updates will operate automatically. There are two updates a year and you’ll get your first two updates free of charge.

How can I find what my car’s Model Year (MY) is?

A vehicle’s Model Year doesn’t necessarily correspond to its year of build or registration. To determine your car’s model year, check the 10th digit of its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and review against the MY listing below.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often are updates made available?

Most satellite navigation units benefit from an update approximately twice a year but some of our earlier units only get an annual update.

How long does it take to perform a download?

This will vary depending on your internet speed and on how many users are downloading from our website at the same time. The download size itself can be up to 34GB. If your broadband speed is 5 Mbps, it may take two hours or more. If your broadband speed is around 100 Mbps, it may take less than 10 or 20 minutes. You can find out about your internet speed by searching ‘test internet speed’ in your search engine.

How long does it take to perform an update manually?

It varies depending on the type of head unit and software, but we typically estimate that this should take no more than 1 hour 30 min. You will be given an estimate of the likely installation time when initiating the process. You need to ensure your vehicle has sufficient charge or fuel to run uninterrupted during this amount of time. It is imperative you leave your car on throughout the update.

Where can I get help?

Can a Kia Authorised Dealer/Repairer perform the software update for me?

A Kia Authorised Dealer/Repairer can perform the update but please be aware they may charge for their time. They will also need advance notice so that they can download your software prior to your visit.

Will over-the-air updates become possible for vehicles prior to Model Year 22?

Can I disable OTA updates?

You can disable OTA updates from your Kia Connect app by deactivating it in your Service List screen.

Can I drive my vehicle whilst an OTA update is underway?

After you consent to it, your vehicle downloads the update and then starts the first installation phase. At this stage all activity is taking place in the background and doesn’t impact your ability to drive or use your car. Once this first phase is complete, you will be offered to finalise the installation when you next turn off the ignition. The installation is then completed while your vehicle is off, but you can still switch the ignition back on and interrupt the installation to drive drive the car.

Are all new Kia’s equipped with Kia Connect now coming enabled for OTA updates from factory?

This may not always be the case. We advise you to check your vehicle’s software date from the Settings screen. If it is more than six months old, you will need to carry out a manual update using the Kia Navigations Updates website to enable over-the-air updates.
