Kia Optima показала высокий уровень безопасности по новым стандартам США

Optima четвёртого поколения стала первой моделью Kia, которая получила высший рейтинг безопасности Top Safety Pick Plus при испытаниях по более строгим стандартам.

Новая Kia Optima получила высшую оценку безопасности Top Safety Pick Plus Cтрахового института дорожной безопасности США (IIHS). Как рассказали в компании, за прохождение пяти краш-тестов автомобиль четвёртой генерации удостоился оценок «хорошо», а оснащение автомобиля системой автоматического экстренного торможения повысило итоговый балл до максимально возможного.

Для получения автомобилем рейтинга TSP+ он должен пройти несколько краш-тестов: фронтальный удар с малой площадью перекрытия, фронтальный удар со средней площадью перекрытия, боковой удар, а также проверку прочности крыши и защиты головы при опрокидывании. Высшей оценки достигают только те модели, которые имеют современные системы безопасности.

«Некоторые из стандартов оценки безопасности, применяемые сейчас IIHS при краш-тестах, являются самыми строгими в мире. Присвоение максимально возможного рейтинга Top Safety Pick Plus – важное достижение и самой модели Optima, и бренда Kia в целом, — считает вице-президент Kia Motors America Орт Хедрик, — Мы гордимся тем, что новое поколение Kia Optima получило высокие оценки во всех видах испытаний IIHS. Присвоение рейтинга Top Safety Pick Plus – это высокая оценка усилий наших инженеров, которые при разработке каждой модели приоритетное внимание уделяют безопасности водителя и пассажиров».

Ранее стало известно о том, что новая Optima подтвердила свой высокий уровень безопасности. В декабре 2015 года корейский автомобиль получил «5 звезд» по результатам испытаний по методике EuroNCAP в Европе. В оснащение представленной на российском рынке Оптимы входят системы кругового обзора, контроля слепых зон, помощи при перестроении, помощи при выезде с парковки задним ходом, помощи при экстренном торможении (BAS) и другие опции.

В России бизнес-седан четвёртой генерации можно купить с 9 марта 2016 года, о старте продаж ранее сообщал портал «Колёса.ру». Официальная цена модели варьируется в диапазоне от 1 069 900 до 1 719 900 рублей. В моторной гамме представлены модернизированный бензиновый двухлитровый мотор MPI мощностью 150 л. с., новый 188-сильный вариант GDI объёмом 2,4 литра с непосредственным впрыском топлива; для Optima GT в линейке есть турбонаддувный двухлитровый вариант T-GDI, выдающий 245 л. с.

The passenger compartment remained stable in the frontal offset test. The Optima scored maximum points for the protection of the front passenger in that test, with good protection of all critical body areas. Dummy readings indicated good protection of the knees and femurs of both dummies and Kia showed that a similar level of protection would be provided to occupants of different sizes and to those sat in different positions. In the full-width rigid barrier test, protection of the driver was good for all body areas, and for the rear passenger it was good for all areas except the chest, protection of which was adequate. In the side barrier impact, protection of all critical parts of the body was again good, and the Optima scored maximum points. Even in the more severe side pole test, all body areas were well protected. The front seats and head restraints demonstrated marginal protection against whiplash injury in Euro NCAP’s tests. A geometric assessment of the rear seats indicated marginal whiplash protection also for the occupants of those seats. An autonomous emergency braking system is available on the Optima which would provide additional whiplash protection at the low, city speeds at which such injuries commonly occur. The system was not included in this assessment as it is not standard equipment.

Tested vehicle: 2016 Hyundai Sonata Eco 4-door

The Hyundai Sonata was redesigned for the 2015 model year. Beginning with 2016 models, the driver’s seat belt was modified, and front suspension changes were made to alter wheel movement during small overlap frontal crashes. Later, beginning with 2016 models built after October 2015, the structure was reinforced at the junction between the door sill and hinge pillar to improve occupant protection in small overlap crashes. (Information about when a specific vehicle was manufactured is on the certification label typically affixed to the car on the driver door or adjacent B-pillar.)

The Kia Optima was redesigned for the 2016 model year and since then has been built on the same platform as the Hyundai Sonata. All 2016 and later Optimas include equivalent modifications made on the driver side of Sonatas built after October 2015.

The dummy’s position in relation to the door frame, steering wheel, and instrument panel after the crash test indicates that the driver’s survival space was maintained reasonably well.

The frontal and side curtain airbags worked well together to keep the head from coming close to any stiff structure or outside objects that could cause injury.

Forces during the crash contributed to a moderate risk of injury to the dummy’s left foot.

The Hyundai Sonata was redesigned for the 2015 model year. Beginning with 2016 models, the driver’s seat belt was modified, and front suspension changes were made to alter left and right wheel movement during small overlap frontal crashes to improve occupant protection.

The Kia Optima was redesigned for the 2016 model year and since then has been built on the same platform as the Hyundai Sonata, with the exception that the Optima’s passenger side structure was lacking some of the strengthening needed for optimal performance in passenger-side small overlap crashes.

Beginning with 2018 Optima models built after January 2018, the passenger-side door sill, lower door hinge pillar, and toepan were reinforced to improve occupant protection in such crashes. (Information about when a specific vehicle was manufactured is on the certification label typically affixed to the car on the driver door or adjacent B-pillar.)

The dummy’s position in relation to the door frame and dashboard after the crash test indicates that the passenger’s survival space was maintained well.

The dummy’s head contacted the frontal airbag but moved toward the right side, allowing the head to slip into the gap in coverage between the frontal and side curtain airbags.

The passenger’s space was maintained well, and risk of injuries to the dummy’s legs and feet was low.

The Kia Optima was redesigned for the 2016 model year and the Hyundai Sonata was redesigned for the 2015 model year (since 2016 the two cars have been built on the same platform). Moderate overlap frontal ratings are assigned by the Institute based on a test of a 2016 Optima conducted by Hyundai/Kia as part of frontal crash test verification.
